Presidential Campaign: Kaduna Police Restrict Heavy-Duty Vehicles

Kaduna State police have barred heavy-duty vehicles from the metropolis from midnight until 8 p.m. Saturday ahead of President Bola Tinubu’s visit for the launch of the APC presidential campaign rally. Commissioner of Police Muhammad Rabiu said the restriction covers trailers, tankers and lorries, aims to reduce congestion, and will be accompanied by alternative routes for affected vehicles. Rabiu urged residents and political supporters to remain peaceful and warned that political violence, intimidation and carrying dangerous weapons would not be tolerated.

Israeli rights group B’Tselem condemned the planned offensive as collective punishment and warned that it could involve war crimes.
