Israel and Morocco agree to open embassies, upgrading diplomatic ties

Israel and Morocco have agreed to upgrade their diplomatic ties by elevating their respective missions to embassies and appointing ambassadors. During a meeting in New York, the foreign ministers of both countries also agreed to advance economic and trade relations, including finalizing two agreements on investment protection and preventing double taxation by the end of the year. This announcement coincides with the sixth anniversary of the Abraham Accords, which aim to normalize relations between Israel and several Arab countries.
