Illegal Immigration: 18 Senegalese Arrested in Morocco, Mission Sent on Site

On Saturday, the Moroccan Royal Navy intercepted a boat carrying 201 irregular migrants, including 18 Senegalese, about 185 kilometers southwest of Dakhla. The migrants, who had set sail from Gambia towards the Canary Islands, were rescued and taken back to the village of Roc-Chico. The Senegalese Consulate in Dakhla has dispatched a mission to assist in identifying the intercepted Senegalese and to provide material support to migrants awaiting return to Senegal.
