600 hectares earmarked for 21,000 potential Cape Town housing opportunities

Human Settlements Minister Thembi Simelane announced that 600 hectares across 120 land parcels in Cape Town could provide about 21,000 housing opportunities. Currently, 162,583 beneficiaries have been on the city's Housing Needs Register for at least five years. Simelane also mentioned that 400 hectares on 31 parcels are being prepared for market release.
