66th Independence: Nigeria worst place to be born - Peter Obi

During his Independence Day message, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), stated that Nigeria is the worst place to be born. He criticized the APC-led government for worsening social and economic issues such as poverty, insecurity, unemployment, and hunger, despite promises made in 2023. Obi highlighted that over 140 million Nigerians live in poverty, more than 80 million children are out of school, and about 35 million youths are unemployed, with increasing drug use and a food crisis threatening 40 million people.
