67 orphaned and vulnerable children receive school kits for the new school year in Nyiragongo

Sixty-seven orphaned and vulnerable children from the Nyiragongo territory in North Kivu received school supplies on August 29, just before the start of the 2026-2027 school year. The NGO Jirani Msaada distributed notebooks, pens, school uniforms, and shoes to each beneficiary. This initiative, now in its fourth year, was made possible through donations collected from generous individuals. Despite this assistance, significant needs remain, particularly regarding malnutrition.
