Tanzania, as part of its Development Vision 2050, is undertaking a major overhaul of its transportation and trade infrastructure through a bilateral alliance with South Korea, led by KORAIL. This strategic partnership focuses on the Central Corridor Standard Gauge Railway project, introducing high-capacity electric trains that significantly boost regional trade and port logistics. The cooperation also enhances trade with neighboring countries like DRC, Burundi, and Zambia by lowering logistics costs and strengthening regional economic independence.
