$700bn deal: Nigeria has 26 out of 60 minerals US needs - Minister

The Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Jumoke Oduwole, stated that Nigeria has about 26 of the 60 critical minerals the United States aims to secure globally. She explained that the framework signed between Nigeria and the US is a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding. The government is working to establish a domestic mineral value chain, including lithium processing and battery manufacturing, while ensuring Nigeria retains control over its mineral resources.
