State Budget: Ministries Spending More Than They Produce in Results

In Ivory Coast, the Court of Auditors reported that in 2024, out of 34 budget sections examined, only nine had an efficiency ratio of 1 or higher, indicating that their spending matched their results. The remaining 25 sections spent more than their achieved results, with a ratio below 1. The most efficient sectors include the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Equipment, Construction, Housing, and Family, as well as other delegated ministries and attached services.
