Kylian Mbappé Receives a “Fake” Ballon d’Or in Viral Clip

Kylian Mbappé appeared on the “Djadel Show,” where comedian Ilyes Djadel presented him with a symbolic Ballon d’Or trophy in a clip that circulated on social media on October 19. The mock ceremony ended with the announcement that the 2026 award went to “Mobutu Mbappé,” a nickname referencing the former Congolese leader. Mbappé has yet to win the Ballon d’Or; his best finish was third in 2023, and he is the leading scorer in La Liga, the Champions League and the 2026 World Cup. The actual 2026 Ballon d’Or ceremony is scheduled for October 26 at the London Palladium.
