Britam ready for dividends after clearing Sh5.8bn

Britam Holdings has eliminated its accumulated losses of Sh5.87 billion, allowing for the resumption of dividend payments after a six-year pause. The reduction became effective on September 7, following the registration of a court order. Despite accumulated losses of Sh5.8 billion at the end of 2025, the insurer reported a net profit of Sh5.53 billion for the year 2025 and Sh2.66 billion for the first half of 2026.
