Africa Will Be Nearly Self-Sufficient in Fuels by 2030 (Aliko Dangote)

The Dangote Group, which commissioned Africa's largest refinery in Nigeria in 2024, is building a new $16 billion refinery in Lamu, Kenya. Aliko Dangote stated that most African countries will be able to meet their fuel needs domestically by 2030. This refinery project aims to boost energy self-sufficiency across the continent.
