Algeria will return to the U17 World Cup in Qatar from November 19 to December 13, 17 years after its last appearance. Coach Amine Ghimouz has named a squad without Mouhammed Valmy, Yanis Messaoudi, Bilal Daaou and Zinedine Zouai; no reasons were given for their omissions. Yacine Abed, Rayan Zidane, Walid Nechab and Ramy Benkhiat are among those selected. Algeria will compete in Group J alongside the United States, Chile and Montenegro.
