The National Assembly rejected the motion of no confidence against Interior Minister Jacquemain Shabani, initiated by Deputy Laddy Yangotikala. Deputy Garry Sakata challenged the validity of several signatures on the motion, claiming that some did not correspond to currently serving deputies. He argued that the number of valid signatories had dropped to 49 after the contested signatures were withdrawn, rendering the motion inadmissible.
