85,000 people trapped between FARDC and CRP positions in Djugu

The humanitarian situation in Djugu is critical, with approximately 85,000 people trapped between the regular army and CRP militias for over three months. The displaced individuals, living in precarious conditions, are requesting the opening of a humanitarian corridor to access water and their fields. More than 60 people are reported to have died from hunger since March, with daily mortality estimated between two and five deaths. The displaced also denounce a climate of suspicion towards the FARDC, calling for the restoration of civil-military trust.
