Ibadan throne row: ‘Touch Olubadan and see crisis,’ Igboho warns

Sunday Adeyemo, known as Sunday Igboho, warned that any attempt to remove the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, would trigger unrest in Oyo State. In a video shared Friday, he said any governor who tried to dethrone Ladoja would face resistance and condemned rumours of plans to ambush or attack the monarch. The dispute began in April, after former Ekiti Governor Ayodele Fayose claimed that Seyi Makinde planned to remove Ladoja, who had missed a planned coronation of high chiefs. The Oyo State Government denied the allegation, saying it had never considered or discussed removing the Olubadan.
