Jean Nkuete: “Paul Biya’s longevity serves as a compass and GPS for Cameroon”

Ahead of the 44th anniversary of Paul Biya’s accession to power on November 6, 1982, RDPC Secretary-General Jean Nkuete portrays the president’s long tenure as a source of stability and a guide for Cameroon. The party’s anniversary theme calls for unwavering loyalty and republican mobilization behind Biya, while urging local structures to prepare for upcoming legislative and municipal elections. Nkuete encourages women and young people to take part and expresses the RDPC’s solidarity with women facing femicide and poverty and with communities affected by insecurity in the Far North, Northwest, and Southwest regions. MRC figure Mamadou Mota criticized the remarks as “political farce” and “political nausea.”
