LaLiga: 'What Lionel Messi taught me' - Diego Simeone

Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone expressed his appreciation for Lionel Messi's contributions to Argentina and highlighted that Messi taught him perseverance and competitive determination. He declined to compare Messi directly to Maradona, stating both are extraordinary footballers and that Messi has broken many barriers with his respectful conduct. Messi recently concluded his international career in a friendly against Benin, scoring one goal and providing two assists in Argentina's 3-0 victory.
