Kenyans Face Deportation as Three Gulf Nations Intensify Crackdown

Kenyans living in Gulf countries, particularly Saudi Arabia and the UAE, face deportation due to intensified crackdowns on foreigners in violation of immigration laws. In August 2026, Saudi Arabia deported 14,905 individuals and arrested another 14,434 for various violations. Foreign workers, including Ethiopians, Ugandans, and Nigerians, have also been affected by these operations. Jordan has given undocumented foreign workers until September 30, 2026, to regularize their status before facing deportation.
