Transfer: Franck Kessié returns to Atalanta Bergamo in Italy 10 years after his departure

Franck Kessié officially signed with Atalanta Bergamo on August 29, 2026, after leaving Al-Ahli. The 29-year-old Ivorian midfielder returns to the club where he was revealed during the 2016-2017 season. After stints at AC Milan and FC Barcelona, Kessié hopes to return to the Ivorian national team under new coach Hervé Renard, after being excluded from the qualifiers for the 2026 AFCON.
