Senegal: A solution finally found to give Vieira his first home match?

Patrick Vieira, appointed Senegal coach in September, could experience his first home match on November 12 against Sudan in 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying. With the Abdoulaye-Wade Stadium unavailable because it is being used for the Dakar Youth Olympic Games, the Senegalese Football Federation has selected the Léopold-Sédar-Senghor Stadium. The venue has been closed since October 18, after an African Champions League match, and no games are scheduled there before Senegal’s fixture so the pitch can recover; its condition remains under scrutiny.
