Pikine: Man remanded in custody over alleged sexual assault of a teenage girl

A man suspected of sexually assaulting a teenage girl on October 22, 2026, in Sam Sam 3, Pikine, has been remanded in custody. The girl screamed during the alleged assault, alerting two relatives who surprised the suspect, who then fled. A complaint was filed the following day at the Diamaguène Sicap Mbao police station. Two men were shot dead on Tuesday night in the Harare area of Khayelitsha in an attack apparently linked to taxi violence. Police responding at about 9pm on November 3 found one man dead behind the wheel of a white Toyota Quantum minibus, and another man, aged 44, dead nearby on Ngxalanga Street in Zwelitsha.
