Over 1,500 persons missing in Yobe since Boko Haram insurgency - ICRC

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is currently tracking over 1,500 missing persons cases in Yobe State since the Boko Haram conflict began. Syed Rashid Hassan, Head of the ICRC Sub-Delegation in Damaturu, stated that this figure is part of more than 17,000 missing-person cases across Nigeria, with over half involving children. Families of the missing continue to live in uncertainty, facing significant emotional and psychological burdens.
