$80bn digital economy: Sanwo-Olu eyes Africa’s innovation capital

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu expressed confidence that Lagos will emerge as Africa's innovation capital, with over $80 billion committed to technology development. Speaking at the GITEX Nigeria Official Tour, he emphasized the need for sustained investment in infrastructure and talent development. Sanwo-Olu also warned that Africa must not merely consume technologies developed elsewhere but should become builders and owners of technology.
