A fresh labour crisis is emerging in Ogun State, with allegations that 580 WEMPCO workers were forcibly evicted from their workplaces by armed police. The incident reportedly occurred on June 9, 2026, when a Receiver/Manager appointed by the court arrived with heavily armed police personnel. Lawyers representing the workers warned that an additional 1,321 jobs could be at risk if the dispute is not urgently resolved.
