At the Special Offences Court in Ikeja, EFCC witness Bawa Usman Kaltungo admitted that AMCON’s board, then chaired by Amos Adamu, approved Ahmed Kuru’s sale of NG Eagle. He confirmed that about ₦149 million in proceeds was paid into AMCON’s account with the Central Bank of Nigeria. Kaltungo said the investigation relied in part on a judgment that nullified the sale, but acknowledged he did not know it had been appealed and later set aside. Kuru and four other individuals or entities are on trial over the airline’s management and sale, with proceedings expected to resume on October 28, 2026.
