U17 Women’s World Cup: Morocco officially qualifies for the round of 16

Morocco qualified for the 2026 U17 Women’s World Cup round of 16 after Venezuela lost 0-2 to Japan. Despite a 5-1 defeat to Argentina, Youness Rabie’s team is guaranteed to finish among the best third-placed sides, ahead of Venezuela and Canada. The Atlas Lionesses have reached the knockout stage for the second consecutive time and will face either defending champions North Korea or Brazil. They will seek their first-ever quarter-final berth after beating New Zealand 4-0 and losing 4-2 to Germany in the group stage.
