Ukraine ready for US-backed talks with Russia: Zelenskyy

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine is prepared to hold trilateral talks with the United States and Russia this month, supporting a swift timeline to resume negotiations to end the over four-and-a-half-year war. Zelenskyy mentioned that the meeting could take place in the UAE or another country proposed by the US, which is also in contact with Moscow about the plan. Despite indications of willingness to discuss ending the conflict, both Russia and Ukraine plan to escalate long-range attacks on military and energy targets, with Russia targeting Ukraine’s energy sector as winter approaches.
