Workers involved in the Ebola response in Rwampara health zone, in Bunia, Ituri, threaten a collective work stoppage unless their outstanding payments are settled within 48 hours. They say they have gone 77 days without allowances or communication expenses and also denounce a hold on payments to community relays. In a memorandum to the Ituri governor’s office and health authorities, they allege that payroll lists contain fictitious names and call for a joint commission to verify them. The local response coordination and provincial executive had not commented at the time of publication.
