Over 400 Northern Ashanti Mines workers petition Mahama over mine closure

More than 400 employees of Northern Ashanti Mines Limited have asked President John Dramani Mahama to intervene and secure the reopening of the mine, which was taken over by the National Anti-Illegal Mining Operations Secretariat (NAIMOS). The petition was presented on November 6 to Asante Akim Central Municipal Chief Executive Rev. Dr Ebenezer Ekow Aidoo. Community Relations Officer Amponsah Alfred Oduro spoke at the presentation.
