In the context of Ebola, 66 students trained in hygiene and sanitation promotion in the Tchomia health zone (Ituri)

Sixty-six students from three primary schools in Tchomia were trained in water, hygiene, and sanitation promotion from August 21 to 26, 2026, by Tearfund with support from UNICEF. The aim is to enhance students' knowledge so they can become hygiene promotion actors in their schools and communities. Each school has 22 student brigadiers to promote hygiene practices, including handwashing and the use of sanitary latrines. These initiatives aim to improve student health in a context marked by the Ebola virus outbreak.
