The Government resorts to CADECO for the payment of civil servants within the DRC

The Congolese government has signed an agreement with CADECO to facilitate the payment of salaries for civil servants in 25 out of 26 provinces of the DRC. This 'proximity payment' system aims to address the challenges faced by state agents in rural areas, who previously had to travel long distances to receive their salaries. Jean-Pierre Lihau, the Deputy Prime Minister, and Célestin Mukeba, the General Director of CADECO, stated that this new system will improve accessibility to Treasury funds.
