Troops kill suspected terrorist, recover AK-47 rifles in Plateau

Troops of Sector 2, Operation Enduring Peace, killed a suspected terrorist and recovered two AK-47 rifles during a stop-and-search operation in Zak, Wase Local Government Area, Plateau State. The incident occurred on August 29, 2026, when troops intercepted a suspicious vehicle. After a pursuit, the driver was apprehended but attempted to disarm a soldier, resulting in his death. Additional items, including military-style accessories, were also recovered from the vehicle.
