Félix Tshisekedi in Moscow for Russia-Africa Summit

DRC President Félix Tshisekedi arrived in Moscow on October 27, 2026, to attend the 3rd Russia-Africa Summit, scheduled for October 28 and 29. His program includes a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and the signing of three cooperation agreements covering public health, economic, scientific and technical exchanges, and vocational training for young Congolese through the Alabuga Start program. The Congolese presidency has not disclosed the agreements’ details or how they will be implemented. Tshisekedi is also due to receive an honorary doctorate from the Russian Peoples’ Friendship University, also known as Patrice Lumumba University.
