Benin: ABPC Receives Equipment to Monitor Displaced Populations

The Beninese Agency for Civil Protection (ABPC) received equipment worth 53,984,299 CFA francs to enhance monitoring of displaced populations. Provided by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) with funding from the European Union, the equipment includes motorcycles, tablets, and laptops. In March 2026, 42,409 internally displaced persons were recorded in Benin, mainly in the northern region, due to insecurity and flooding.
