Has the CAF Already Revived the CHAN?

Claude Le Roy says CAF president Patrice Motsepe is considering reopening the discussion about the CHAN, a tournament for players competing in African domestic leagues that was scrapped in January. The Congo-Brazzaville coach describes the competition as an important way to discover local talent and says Motsepe told him a review would begin. Le Roy also supports limiting the tournament to players under 25 to strengthen development and youth training. Former CAF vice-president Constant Omari had also warned against the impact of the cancellation.
