North Kivu: Oicha Ebola treatment centre staff denounce “inhumane” care conditions

In a memorandum sent to authorities on November 4, Ebola response staff at the Oicha treatment centre in Beni territory denounced inadequate working and patient-care conditions. They cited a lack of medical equipment, insufficient hospitalisation kits and no discharge kits for recovered patients. Staff also said their service bonuses had gone unpaid for four months, adding to demoralisation amid difficult conditions and significant risks.
