Celebrity loses injunction bid but will stay anonymous pending appeal

The High Court rejected a celebrity’s bid to permanently stop ITN and The Guardian from identifying him and publishing allegations of sexual misconduct. Judge Nicklin kept a temporary injunction and reporting restrictions in place to give the man time to appeal. The court did not rule on whether the allegations were true, and its dismissal of the claim does not amount to approval of any publication.
