Obituary: Nigerian actor Olu Jacobs has died at 84

Olu Jacobs, the iconic Nigerian actor, passed away at the age of 84, as announced by his wife, actress Joke Silva. Born on July 11, 1942, in Kano, he had a prolific career in theater, television, and film, becoming a central figure in Nollywood. Jacobs received numerous awards, including the Africa Movie Academy Award in 2007, and co-founded the Lufodo Group and the Lufodo Academy of Performing Arts. His health had been affected by Lewy body dementia in recent years.
