Sudan: Survivors still face dire conditions one year after the fall of El Fasher

One year after the fall of El Fasher, the humanitarian situation in Sudan’s North Darfur State remains devastating, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). Sudan’s humanitarian response plan, valued at nearly US$2.9 billion, is just over 46% funded, and OCHA is urging donors to increase support. Drone strikes have also damaged power substations in Gedaref State and fuel stations and public buses in North Kordofan State.
