Adamawa Govt marks Independence Day with hospital outreach

On October 1st, the Adamawa State Government marked Nigeria’s 66th Independence Day by visiting the maternity and pediatric sections of Adamawa State University Teaching Hospital in Jimeta and Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital in Yola South. Led by the Commissioner of Information, Leader Leneke, officials distributed diapers, toiletries, soft drinks, and cash to women and children, focusing on newborns born that day. The outreach aimed to extend goodwill and reaffirm the government’s commitment to providing free healthcare for children aged zero to five.
