USA: Over 25,000 expulsions to third countries since Trump's return

The United States has transferred at least 25,447 people to 28 third countries as of August 31, 2026, according to an investigation by Forbidden Stories. Most expulsions, around 20,000, were directed to Mexico. Since Donald Trump's return to the White House in January 2025, agreements have been signed with 35 states to host individuals who cannot be returned to their home countries.
