Ukraine: After False Radiation Alerts in Kyiv, Army Calls for Calm

On November 1, as the threat map showed a red danger level across Ukraine, the Air Alarm app sent warnings about radiological and chemical risks and street fighting. Ukraine’s air force said on Telegram that there was no radiological threat and urged the public to stay calm and follow official updates. Launched in March 2022 by Ajax Systems and Stfalcon with support from the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the app added chemical and radiological alerts in August 2022. False radiation alerts had also been reported in Kropyvnytskyi in September 2025 and the Poltava region in August 2025.
