2027: NDC plans crowdfunding to keep moneybags from hijacking party - Spokesperson

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will adopt a crowdfunding system to finance its activities ahead of the 2027 general elections to prevent wealthy individuals from dominating the party through large donations. Osa Director, the party's National Publicity Secretary, stated that this initiative aims to give ordinary Nigerians a stake in the party's management while reducing the influence of 'moneybags'. The NDC will examine crowdfunding models used by the Obidient movement during the 2023 elections and will establish a system that ensures greater accountability.
