Bauchi Residents Dispute Claim Imam Was Removed Over Support for Tinubu

Residents of Madina Quarters in Bauchi dispute Dahiru Abubakar’s claim that he was removed as an imam for supporting Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid. They say he was not the mosque’s substantive imam and led prayers only when the regular imam was absent. The mosque committee says it warned him against using the mosque and its surroundings for political discussions. Residents also describe Abubakar, known as Jejiwe Danmalam, as a controversial figure associated with politicians from different parties.
