Mervat Radwan, 45, became the guardian of her three nephews after an Israeli airstrike killed their mother in 2024. Community kitchens, vital for low-income families in Gaza, have seen their operations decline due to funding shortages and rising operational costs. Currently, these kitchens serve only two days a week, and daily meal production has dropped from 1.5 million to 698,000 between March and July 2026.
