2027: PDP Members Back Uba Sani Over Road Projects

Members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Soba Local Government Area, Kaduna State, say they will support Governor Uba Sani’s 2027 re-election bid despite belonging to the opposition. Adamu Danburam and Dogara Mohammed cited a road built in their communities, while Hassan Adamu Abdullahi said the route linking Gurundafi, Soba and Turawa has eased travel and helped farmers transport produce to markets. Residents hope the governor will continue development projects and have also called for a hospital, electricity and potable water in Birnin Da’a village.

Delta HOSTCOM says it neither adopted nor endorsed Swill Mavua’s article criticizing Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and urging voters to reject him and the APC in 2027. Chairman Chief Comrade Sunday Ndidi Enujeke and Secretary High Comrade Joseph Lamienghan said the views in the publication belong to its author alone. APC-PCC spokesperson Dele Alake defended Bola Tinubu’s 2023 pledge to end estimated billing and provide stable electricity, saying reform of Nigeria’s power sector remains ongoing. He said critics had omitted the candidate’s qualification that he would owe Nigerians an adequate explanation if he fell short before seeking a second term. The council said the 2023 Electricity Act opened the sector to state participation, a 4 trillion naira bond programme is addressing legacy debts, and more than 1.5 million customers have received meters through a presidential initiative.
