Federal University Dutse gets NUC approval for 30 new programmes

The National Universities Commission (NUC) approved the launch of the Faculty of Law and 30 new academic programmes at Federal University Dutse (FUD) for the 2026/2027 academic session. These include LLB in Common and Islamic Law, as well as degrees in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Community Health, Nutrition, Physiotherapy, Radiography, Optometry, and several education courses. Postgraduate programmes in Forestry, Accounting, Treasury, Finance, Banking, and Information Technology were also approved, along with Master's degrees in Banking and Finance, and Accounting and Finance. Vice-Chancellor Professor Ahmad Mohammed Gumel stated that the expansion aims to meet emerging educational and workforce needs, equipping students with relevant skills for societal and national development.
