Democracy for Citizens Party leader Rigathi Gachagua alleged that President William Ruto is set to sign an Ksh8.2 trillion minerals deal with an American company during his visit to the U.S. Gachagua claimed that Ruto's real mission is to finalize an agreement on the exploitation of niobium in Kenya, particularly at the Mrima Hill deposits, while asserting that Kenya would receive little from the exploitation. He also mentioned that an agreement was signed by Ruto's proxy with representatives of the American company about four weeks ago.
