At least seven people, including one of the train drivers, were killed and more than 100 injured in a collision near Giza, Egypt. The railway authority said a train travelling from Giza to Fayoum struck the rear of a stationary train heading from Cairo to Aswan; several carriages derailed, some tumbling down an embankment. Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar said injured passengers were being treated for broken bones and head injuries, while prosecutors warned the death toll could rise. President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi ordered an investigation, and train services between Giza and Upper Egypt were suspended.
